Bookbug symbolised resources

Bookbug is Scottish Book Trust's Early Years programme that aims to help children develop a love of books and reading by providing four free bags of books to every child in Scotland during their first five years.

CALL Scotland has worked with the Scottish Book Trust to create a fantastic pack of award winning symbolised resources to accompany these books. They can be used with pupils with Additional Support Needs and those with communication difficulties. The resources include Go Talk 9+ overlays to go with each story and vocabulary sheets to go with each board to help with recording the messages.

The symbolised resources have been created for:

• The Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag
  Gifted to every P1 child in Scotland during Book Week Scotland.
• The Bookbug Explorer bag
  Given out at nursery when your child is aged 3.
